Now that my PT is over - I've "graduated" -

what is going to be waiting for me?

What will the world look like?

"Every transition begins with an ending. We have to let go of the old thing before we can pick up the new one - not just outwardly, but inwardly, where we keep our connections to people and places that act as definitions of who we are.      ~ William Bridges, Transitions"

First off, congratulations on “graduating” from physical therapy. That means your physical therapist believes you have reached your goals in therapy and no longer need PT sessions—that you have healed to a level of maintenance or even complete physical wellness. With that said, ending PT means a loss, and losses need to be grieved. Your coach is equipped to help you understand the meaning of the loss through the frame of transition. That is, you can envision the ending of PT as a transition to a post-PT world, rather than a hard stop. This can open you up to a sense of greater internal control, and a readiness to lean into the uncertainty of transition in a powerful way.
